With CEREC, you can enjoy the convenience of same-day dental care and leave with a fully restored, confident smile in just a few hours.

CEREC Same-Day Crown Procedure: Fast, Simple, and Convenient

Getting a CEREC restoration is a quick and straightforward process. First, our dentists remove any decay and shapes the tooth to prepare it for the restoration. Instead of using messy impression material, a digital camera captures a highly detailed 3D image of your tooth.

Once the image is ready, our dentists design your custom restoration on the computer while you watch. The design is then sent to the CEREC machine, which mills (or carves) your new restoration from a strong, natural-looking porcelain block. This step takes about 15 minutes, and you can even watch the machine work if you’d like!

Once the restoration is complete, our dentists carefully place and bond it to your tooth, ensuring a perfect fit. The entire process takes just over two hours, allowing you to walk out with a fully restored smile in a single visit—no temporary crowns or follow-up appointments needed!

Digital X-Rays: Safe, Accurate, and Advanced Dental Imaging

Digital X-rays provide a fast, precise way for dentists to examine your teeth and surrounding structures with exceptional detail. Unlike traditional X-rays, digital imaging allows the dentist to capture high-resolution images and view them instantly on a computer screen. This advanced technology helps detect issues such as cavities, bone loss, and infections with greater accuracy.

One of the biggest benefits of digital X-rays is safety—this method reduces radiation exposure by up to 80% compared to traditional X-rays. Because digital sensors are more sensitive, they require less radiation to produce clear images, making the process safer and more comfortable for patients. With digital X-rays, you can receive a thorough, effective dental evaluation while prioritizing your health and safety.

Oral DNA

Oral DNA

Our Team is now using one of the most significant advances in dental medicine, a simple DNA test using saliva, to determine the specific type and quantity of disease-causing bacteria in patients’ mouths! According to the American Dental Association, an estimated 75% of all Americans over the age of 35 have some form of periodontal disease, and research conducted during the past 10 years has provided insight into the Perio / Systemic Connection and the link between chronic periodontal infections and heart disease, diabetes, stroke, and some forms of cancer. The detection and monitoring of these disease-causing bacteria are critical to treatment success.

MyPerioID®

This screening will reveal if your genetic makeup puts you at greater risk for developing gum tissue infections. This test gives better insight into how an individual’s immune system will respond to the presence of harmful bacteria, further enabling us to optimize therapy.

These exciting new tests are for anyone with or without symptoms of gingivitis or periodontal disease. Symptoms may include bleeding gums, bad breath, red or inflamed gums, or loss of bone around your teeth. Other indications for this test are pretreatment clearance for extensive dental procedures and, in some cases, surgical clearance (such as heart surgery or joint replacements). Both tests are performed by swishing a small amount of sterile saline throughout the mouth for 30 seconds. The saliva sample is then sent to OralDNA Labs, Inc. (www.OralDNA.com) for processing.

MyPerioPath

This lab report identifies harmful bacteria associated with gum infections and helps us develop a more effective treatment plan. Through this state-of-the-art technology, we are able to treat the source of the infection and not just the symptoms. The goal of therapy then becomes to reduce the overall bacterial risk for disease progression. As with most diseases, earlier and more targeted treatment can help stop periodontal disease before irreversible damage occurs.

In addition to this bacterial DNA test, we also offer a genetic susceptibility test called Celsus One® that will reveal if your genetic makeup puts you at greater risk for developing gum tissue infections. This test gives better insight into how an individual’s immune system will respond to the presence of harmful bacteria, further enabling us to optimize therapy.

Air abrasion

PrepStart Air Abrasion System

Air abrasion is a new micro-dentistry technique that is used to treat tooth decay and prepare teeth for restorations. Traditionally, dentists used noisy dental drills to remove decay and prepare the teeth for fillings, but air abrasion has proven to be a noiseless, heatless, minimally invasive alternative. Air abrasion is similar to sandblasting, in that tiny particles are propelled toward small areas of decay to remove them. A filling is then applied to seal the tooth from further harm.

An anesthetic is not usually required for this procedure, which means the dentist can treat multiple teeth in a single appointment. The goal of air abrasion is to pinpoint and remove early areas of decay, while preserving more of the natural tooth. The combination of air abrasion and composite resin fillings quickly and comfortably restores functionality and strength to the teeth.

Here are some of the main advantages associated with air abrasion:

Who can benefit from air abrasion?

As with many dental procedures, air abrasion is not necessarily suitable for every person. The best candidates for air abrasion are patients who are fearful of the dental drill, children, and individuals with minimal dental decay. Regular dental check-ups help diagnose cavities which may be forming on the surfaces of the teeth. Spotting cavities early increases the chances that the air abrasion treatment can be utilized.

Air abrasion can be used in instances other than tooth decay, including the removal of existing composite fillings, the preparation of teeth for sealants and the removal of surface stains on teeth.
